When your kids get older, look back on history, (if they can), are they going to say to you, "Daddy, why didn't YOU do anything back then?".
OR, are they going to say, "Daddy, we are so proud of you you are the bravest hero in the world for what you did for us and our country".
Well?
Which one are you going to be remembered by?
QUIT BEING A SPINELESS COWARD.
A very honest straight up man has a good conversation with me.
I was in the Columbian drug war 1976, we were about an hour chopper flight North West of Bogota Columbia, doing a insurgency to the mountain villages. We entered one with about 7 to 9 huts of bamboo, there were chickens running around, the huts were smashed down almost flat, there arms and legs laying torn completely off, some bodies were just crushed. We looked around but there was tracks, no roads, simply a wide trail up the river and down the direction we came. Our LT radioed in and we were told to go up river 3 clicks and we would LZ from the river, which we did. Upon returning to base camp, we were sent to a chow hut, shortly a Major came in and swore us to secrecy, stating that we would receive the blame for assaulting the village. I don't have no idea of what happened. But it was terrible, 5 men 3 women, 7 kids, tirn and smashed. I live with is daily.
